Camp Gan Israel

What’s CGI’s daily morning schedule? Well, at the crack of dawn our dedicated MBP director starts making the cocoa for Cocoa Club as campers slowly arise, recite Modeh Ani & start heading off towards the square to get tested on the daily Tanya qouta. After Cocoa Club, we all lineup with our bunks by the flagpole, recite the 12 Pessukim & raise the flag of Camp Gan Yisroel to the tune of Ani Maamin. From there we head to the Shul to daven Shacharis with much fervor. After Tehillim we gather in the dining room for a nutritious & delicious breakfast. After Bentching we head back to our bunks for cleanup & that’s how you start off a great day at Camp Gan Yisroel!

What do you do when you can’t leave camp to go on trips? Bring the trips to camp! To start us off, we had a great time at Brothers Night. We had a Carnival Day, with fun games & activities. Then we had an Acrobatics Show, which campers & counselers alike enjoyed. We also had Bounce Castles & Water Slides Day, where camp was practically turned into an amusement park! What a fun filled week!

We started the 2nd session with a bang! The bunks were split up & the headstaff gave their speeches. First month campers helped their new friends unpack & showed them around camp. We then went on a trip to an arcade center & had loads of fun!

What an outstanding first session! Before we wish our friends goodbye, we need to end off with a bang. For starters camp got a new Infirmary sign donated by long time camp EMT, Michoel Bloom. We had sports & Kluger championships, award ceremonies & an amazing Banquet!

To end off an incredible week there were 3 amazing events. There was Sushi, Candy, French Fries, Rice Krispie Treats & Soda galore for everyone who participated.
