Basketball: Camp Gan Israel VS. Novominsk Yeshivah

NovoBasketball

The Staff of CGI recently hosted the Bochurim of the Novominsk Yeshivah for a Grand Basketball Game.
It was a tremendous show of achdus, with both camps enjoying the amazing display of athleticism.
The highlight of the evening however was when, with two minutes left to the game, timeout was called and both camps joined on the court to say tehillim for the situation in Eretz Yisroel.
All in all it was an amazing night… and CGI won!

The Sofer comes to Camp!

Sofer

Talented presenter and Sofer (and CGI NY alumni) Rabbi Yosef Serebryanski, bedazzled the campers as they witnessed an informative presentation on the process of Tefilin making and writing, to help visualize what they’re learning in learning classes.

Unique to the presentations was the small intimate setting and a chance to practice their safrus skills with real feather, ink, and parchment to write their name on and keep as a memento.
