It seemed to be a regular night. It was right after visiting day, and all the campers where exhausted and ready to go to bed. But since we are CGI, and we are the most exciting camp in the world, we decided to have a late night surprise firework show. Now, most campers where waiting for the simple dollar store papers that are set off and are pretty cool. But no. The sky lit up in an uproarious firework show, that made the campers cheer from beginning to end, ‘More! More! More!’ It was an incredible night, an unbelievable show, and a great way to start off this last week of camp because rumor has it that its going to wild!

Sixth Grade Bonfire!
Sixth grade is lucky once again! Their Mivtza is rolling with a smashing success! Thursday was an unbelievable BBQ, and the campers had hotdogs and hamburgers, and relaxed with the unbeatable weather. As the sun went down, the bonfire was lit, and marshmallows where handed out. Each camper was able to roast his own marshmallows as everyone sang classic cam songs. It was so inspiring to see the involvement of each camper until late that night.
NOD Skating Trip!
NOD’s trip this past week was like no other! In fact what they where waring to was original as well. Dressed up in awesome costumes, and lots of smiles they headed of to the skating rink. So many games where played as the music was blasting, and the lights were flashing, not to mention NOD’s amazing energy! There was a grand game of limbo led by our dear night activity director Zeesh, as well as a game of tag and pushups on roller skates?????
The trip was a smashing success, and ended with some delicious snacks and some cold drinks which was great during the outdoor heatwave. Once again, we had another spectacular trip in CGI!
Scavenger Hunt, Zoom, Ralley, and VIP Party!
These past days have been jam packed!
We played an extremely difficult game of zoom for night activity. Night Activity Directors Zeesh and Shpeegz displayed a zoomed up picture on the screens in the Shul of a specific staff member, or specific location in Gan Yisroel, as we all had to guess who or what the picture was of (eyes, beards, smiles, arms, signs?!?!). A member from each team was chosen to be the official ‘Guesser’ as they hit a buzzer when they where sure that they were correct!
Next we had our inspiring weekly rally, as we said Psukim, watched a Rebbe Video, and answered questions to be entered into an awesome raffle! Mazel Tov to the winners of the great quality earphones, and the two unbelievable drones! The winners surely deserved this after their hard effort!
The Scavenger hunt was next, and boy was it crazy! We were told to bring boxes of rocks to the PA office, this weeks Chayeu (Cuz of course, learning never ends!) and even call a mystery number! We all ran from place to place trying to find everything on a pretty long list, hoping to make our team win first! It was truly a blast!
Finally we concluded with an insane experience. Sixth Grade was told to head over to the guest dining room for a surprise Mivtzah event. Bewildered we dashed over there to find the room completely dark yet flashing with colorful disco lights, and streamers! Each plate had a wrap on it, and we all got to go up to the buffet and chose what we wanted for our delicious fajitas! The event was a tremendous experience, which was definitely well deserved for those lucky campers who did the Mivtzah! What a way to end another fantastic day in Gan Yisroel!
