Visiting Day at CGI Parksville
“Cleanup, Cleanup, Everybody Do Your Share, Cleanup, Cleanup, Get Ready Because Visiting Day is Here!” This morning we woke up bright and early davened & started cleaning up. We all made sure to look our best in order to impress our parents. 11 AM hit & parents came rushing in, campers & their siblings were having fun all around. Canteen was going wild with milchige dishes in the AM & fleishige dishes off the grill in the PM. Some families stayed to have fun on the grounds, while others went to nearby bungalow colonies or towns to spend their day. At the end of the day parents said goodbye to their sons & the campers sat down for supper. After that we enjoyed some night activity & headed off to bed. We have a very big week prepared for us, so make sure to be on the lookout for new posts.

A Gutteh Voch!

Mr. Hypno Entertains CGI
Tonight, the Famous Mr. Hypno came to perform at Camp Gan Yisroel. He entertained CGI with his amazing hypno-abilities. He put campers & staff under trances & made them do wild antics, such as dancing, fishing, play instruments & more.

Connection Point
Today Gan Yisroel Parksville, NY joined other camps worldwide to participate in the grand Yud Beis Tammuz Connection Point Rally. We watched a video of the Rebbe saying a sicha about this special day. There was a quiz on the sicha and there were raffles for those who filled out the quiz.
Kluger Starts Off with a Blast, & So Do The Fireworks
Today we were all excited because we had the first 2 “Kluger” competitions.
The learning classes chazzered their material and then headed to the testing
spots and prepared for a great game. It was great buzzers were buzzed,
answers were answered and Torah was in the air. The scores were close and
some teams won, but there is no losing because when we learn Torah we all
win. After Maariv there was a special announcement camp will be having
fireworks! So we all headed to the soccer field where we watched with delight
as the sky was bright with many colors and sparks of light. The campers
especially enjoyed the fireworks which whistled and made crackles and bangs.
After that amazing show we headed to our bunkhouses to get ready for bed so
that tomorrow we could serve Hashem and have another spectacular day.

Fake Bog War = CGI Rocking Aquatopia!
Today it was going to rain so we all headed into the Shul to watch a video for
the 3rd activity. As we sat there we realized that something was up, the staff
had a certain grin on their faces as the video started. Everyone realized that all
the actors in the video were sta members! The campers watched intently as
the video played, then all of a sudden “BOG WAR!” It was a breakout. Everyone
was so excited, but wait what’s that the head counselor said everyone bring
your bathing suit we are going to Aquatopia! It was a “Fakeout Breakout!”
Everyone headed to their bunks to change and then we got on the buses and
headed out. After the drive we all entered Aquatopia with our counselors and
had an amazing time. The waterslides were stupendous, the lazy river was
Geshmak and the crazy tubes were… crazy. Some campers even learnt how to
surf on the FlowRider surf ride. After letting out all our energy we went on the
buses and headed back to camp to get some shut eye, what an absolutely
awesome day.
